Laird Connectivity BL654PA module with power amplifier. These modules are FCC, IC, RCM, KC, and Bluetooth ® SIG certified to help engineers implement single-mode Bluetooth 5 and Thread (802.15.4) technology into simple low-power Bluetooth designs.
The Laird BL654PA module is based on the very flexible multi-protocol Nordic nRF52840 system-on-chip (SoC) with a powerful Arm® Cortex®-M4F core and multi-protocol radio capabilities supporting Bluetooth 5, ANT/ANT+ and dedicated 2.4GHz networks. The BL654PA module provides very wide wireless coverage with a transmit power of +18 dBm and can be configured to a minimum of -26 dBm.
The BL654PA module has a variety of programming options, including Laird's smartBASIC language, giving engineers considerable design flexibility. The smartBASIC language is ideal for memory-constrained applications and reduces time-to-market by enabling fast and efficient low-energy Bluetooth development. It also acts as a bridge between software and hardware, enabling applications to support any SmartBasic radio feature. Equipped with an internal tracking antenna or an external IPEX MHF4 connector, the BL654PA module is widely used in applications such as beacons, medical peripherals, industrial monitors, smart homes and other Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
The BL654PA module also comes with an accompanying BL654PA development kit. This kit, which also comes with an internal tracking antenna or an external IPEX MHF4 connector, supports rapid prototyping for wireless connectivity and offers a variety of power options including USB, external DC power, and batteries.
