Littelfuse transient suppression diode arrays have higher surge handling capabilities and lower capacitance

     Littelfuse announced the launch of the SLVU2.8-8 Series 2.8V, 30A Transient Suppression Diode Array (SPA Diode), designed to protect low-voltage CMOS devices from ESD and lightning transient voltages. Compared to similar solutions on the market, the SLVU2.8-8 series provides circuit designers with 25% more power handling capacity and a higher electrical safety factor. It also has 57% less capacitance than other solutions, helping to maintain signal integrity and minimize data loss.

     Typical applications of the SLVU2.8-8 series include protecting 10/100/1000 Ethernet devices, WAN/LAN devices, switching systems, desktop computers, servers, laptops, analog inputs, and base stations.

     Tim Micun, product line manager for the Transient Suppression Diode Array, said: "Each low-voltage transient suppression diode has a compensation diode in series with it that provides low-load capacitance to the protected line. These AEC-Q101-compliant devices safely absorb repeated ESD shocks of ±30kV and safely dissipate currents up to 30A at extremely low clamping voltages."
