Maxim Integrated Products, Inc launched the MAX16162 nanoPower monitoring circuit of the basic analog product line to help designers improve the system reliability of low-voltage IoT applications

     Maxim Integrated Products, INC announced the launch of MAX16162 Nanopower monitoring circuit of the basic simulation product line to help designers improve the system reliability of low -voltage IoT applications. The monitoring IC is the first IC of the industry to completely trigger the system reset by monitoring the entire system power supply, thereby avoiding the interference of low -voltage peak pulse during the power -on period and improving system reliability.


     More and more IoT system engineers turn to use 1V or lower microcontroller nuclear voltage, and traditional monitoring circuits will generate unstable output under such a low input voltage. This makes the system prone to failure when powering, causing the MCU to be in an uncertain state when awakening, including incorrect output of the processor I/O, reading data errors, or other faults. MAX16162 is a reliable protection IC of the Maxim basic analog device family. Before the input voltage reaches the corresponding voltage limit, it can eliminate the peak pulse interference. Eliminating the interference of sharp peak pulses not only improves the reliability of the IoT system, but also has a significant significance for portable medical monitoring equipment, wearable, base stations, programmable logic controllers and automatic control.

 

     MAX16162's current consumption is only 825NA, while providing reliable protection, it will not put pressure on limited power budgets. The packaging size of the basic simulation monitoring IC is 1.06mm x 0.73mm, a 23%reduction in the closest competition scheme, which helps developers save circuit board space. Our basic simulation IC has the consistent advantages of MAXI in low power consumption, high performance, single -functional products, and helps promote the next generation of innovation in various applications and market areas.
