MAXIM Integrated released the industry's minimum and maximum accuracy isolation system monitoring solution

     Maxim Integrated Products, Inc announced the launch of the MAX22530 isolation, self -power -power -based on -site 12 -bit system monitor to further expand its MAXSAFE ™ technology product line. MAX22530 has 4 channels, providing a quarantine system monitoring. By integrating 5 devices to single -chip IC, the accuracy is 50 times higher and the scheme size is reduced by 40%.

     The designer of the automation system continuously seeks the way to save circuit board space, increase the density of the channel, and can improve the way of voltage and current input monitoring accuracy, so that the operator can monitor the system more finely and shorten the system shutdown time. Compared with the standard linear optocoupler isolation scheme composed of separate components, the monitoring and measurement accuracy of MAX22530 has increased by 50 times (increased from +/- 50%to only +/- 1%). The device uses Maxim's unique integrated isolation technology, combining 12-bit ADC, DC-DC converter, user-adjustable clusal detection level and chip-level diagnostic functions. This combination increases the stability of its current transmission ratio by 50 times, and can obtain the voltage of the super -stable current resistance.

     By achieving better measurement accuracy on the 4 -way voltage and current input, MAX22530 allows end users to formulate better real -time decisions, thereby improving system performance and productivity. High integration makes the overall solution size of only 250mm2, a decrease of 40%compared with the closest split -type competition scheme (420mm2).

     Max22530 is the latest member of Maxim Maxsafe products. The MaxsAFE products combine highly integrated isolation, micro-power DC-DC converter and communication lines. They are used to power on-site circuits that areolate the side of the power supply, and simplify the fault diagnosis of signal monitoring applications.
