Monolithic Power Systems' MPQ4210 is a synchronous, four-switch, buck-boost controller, which adjusts varying output voltage, has a wide input voltage range, and high efficiency. The MPQ4210 provides an I(2)C interface that supports V(OUT) voltage programmable, V(OUT) speed control, and output constant current limit programmable, making the MPQ4210 suitable for USB power transmission designs of USB type C power supplies

The MPQ4210 is a synchronous, four-switch, step-down booster controller capable of regulating different output volttimes with a wide input voltage range and high efficiency. It provides an I 2C interface that supports VOUT voltage programmability, VOUT wobble rate control and output constant current limit programmability, making the MPQ4210 suitable for USB Power transmission (PD) designs with USB Type-C power supplies.

The MPQ4210 uses valley current control in step-down mode and peak current control in step-up mode to provide fast load transient response and smooth step-up step-up mode transient response. The MPQ4210 provides a forced continuous on-off mode (FCCM) and programmable mean current-limiting, enabling flexible design for different applications.

It also features programmable overcurrent protection (OCP) mode, programmable overvoltage protection (OVP) mode and programmable VIN UVLO hysteresis. The MPQ4210 comes in a QFN-27 (5mmx5mm) package.
