Microchip's JukeBlox platform has added support for Qobuz Connect

     Microchip Technology, a leading global provider of integrated microcontroller, mixed-signal, emulator and flash patented solutions, announced the addition of Qobuz Connect connectivity support to Microchip's JukeBlox platform. With this combined solution, HD quality and true CD quality audio can be transmitted directly to wireless speakers and AV receivers, providing users with a wonderful and enjoyable music listening experience.

     As a feature of Qobuz Connect, once a track is selected, audio streams can be streamed directly from Qobuz's cloud servers to wireless speakers, rather than in a continuous fashion from phones, tablets and audio devices. This allows users to free up their handheld devices for other uses while also preventing battery drain. Users can move freely across the entire Wi-Fi network without losing connection and causing audio playback to be interrupted. For the first time ever, Android™ users can enjoy high quality lossless audio streaming wirelessly. Qobuz users can easily control and play their favorite music from their phones, tablets and audio devices at the touch of a button.

     Qobuz is the first online music service provider to provide users with Hi-Fi streaming access to all record labels (major labels and independent labels), all music genres, and all artists. Qobuz currently offers Hi-Fi services in the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Austria and Switzerland. Qobuz's subscription services include unlimited streaming music in true CD quality (16-bit /44.1 kHz), lossless downloads of the entire catalog of more than 24 million tracks in true CD quality (16-bit /44.1 kHz), and HD (24-bit /192) access to more than 25,000 albums kHz) download service.
