Micron has launched the new Crucial DDR5 memory

     Micron Technology Inc announced that Micron Crucial's DDR5 desktop computer (PC) memory product will be launched soon. The data transmission speed of this product is 50% faster than the previous generation of DDR4 memory, which can provide mainstream PC users with enthusiast level performance. Whether used for business, learning, creativity, interactive entertainment or personal use, the determinants of PC computing experience are performance, flexibility and efficiency. Micron's DDR5 memory technology advances can provide higher bandwidth for each core, and the effective memory bandwidth is almost doubled, so as to provide data required for multitasking and other demanding PC applications for multi-core CPUs.

This provides development space and future scalability for systems supporting DDR5. Improved bus efficiency results in higher effective bandwidth.
