Molex introduces SlimStack B8 series board-to-board connectors

     Molex announces the 0.40mm SlimStack B8 series board-to-board connector, which has a pitch of 0.4 mm, a height of 0.80 mm and a number of circuits up to 50. The connector provides active protection against damage and contaminants, making it perfect for mobile device applications.

     The 0.40mm SlimStack B8 series board-to-board connector is equipped with cover pins to protect the housing against blind insertion or zipper damage, withstanding forces of up to 50 Newton and displacement of 0.80mm; Contact design removes contaminants; Double contact design absorbs shock and maintains signal stability; In addition, the top housing wall prevents the terminal from rising due to inclined pull-out or fastening.

     Takashi Kumakura, Global Product Manager at Molex, said: "During the production of flexible board jumpers, flux or dust can accumulate on the contacts and interfere with the continuity of the signal. To avoid this, the contact design included in the Molex B8 series has a beveled shape that eliminates flux and contaminants and provides a more stable electrical signal."

     Compared with most competing products on the market, the 0.40mm SlimStack B8 series board-to-board connector has a lower profile, smaller volume and pitch, and can also actively remove foreign objects on the contact for excellent reliability.
