Molex has released the Self-Custom Cable Generator, a solution that enables customers to effectively design custom cable harnesses using a simple online tool. Cables designed for almost any application meet the needs of most mainstream industries, including consumer goods, home appliances, medical and data computing.
The cable generator allows users to choose from many different connector product lines, circuit numbers, wire gauges, UL styles, cable lengths, and more. To meet unique application requirements, a proprietary lead configurator allows you to select the connection type and wire color at each location.
Jonathan Thompson, global Product Manager at Molex, said: "The new cable customization generator is a revolutionary tool that can greatly help harness designers develop solutions to meet their specific needs. With the degree of customization currently available, customers can easily design their own leads for the wires, greatly simplifying cable routing and management."
