Molex's PoE-Ready product design portfolio adds Deco Lighting's Power over Ethernet plug-and-play Vector 2 series of LED lamps. "The Vector 2 product line allows us to go to market with confidence and new options for lighting designers and architects who want to take full advantage of our innovative Molex iot connected building trunk. This partnership further expands our commitment to continuous innovation to our customers." Says Mike Picini, vice president of Network Connectivity solutions at Molex.
Deco's Vector 2 LED lamps are extremely versatile, with a wide range of features, including an ultra-thin form factor of 2.44 inches wide x 5 inches high, a carefully selected length that can be combined, direct/indirect lighting, color control, and three different mounting options.
"We believe that the choice of the next generation of lamps in every enterprise should start from the CIO or CTO level, because lighting is no longer just a binary product that will only produce light; Now, through various interconnect systems, such as Molex's Power over Ethernet from Deco, lighting has become an integral part of building intelligence." Ben Pouladian, president and co-founder of Deco Lighting.
The capabilities demonstrated by Molex through IoT/PoE network connectivity solutions, together with Deco's high-quality lighting portfolio for buildings, will drive adoption and broaden the iot/Power over Ethernet market. Deco is also a member of Molex's alliance of lighting experts who are working together to expand the range of networked lighting options in commercial buildings.
The connected lighting products offered by Molex are just one component of Molex's suite of sensor solutions that enable architects, designers and building managers to take advantage of Molex's connected solutions to maximize building management and efficiency. This network backbone is a cost-effective, iot, future-proof platform that also manages building feedback and then sends the results to an integrated Building Management system (IBMS). This backbone fully integrates current use cases such as lighting control, facilitating the future development of iot capabilities.
