Molex announces the Woodhead Super-Safeway and Safeway Ground Fault Circuit Breakers (GFCI) product lines for many different commercial and industrial applications. Available in both permanent installation and portable versions, these products provide adequate ground failure protection whenever and wherever people and equipment are at risk.
Tony Quebbemann, Product Manager at Molex, said: "Ground failures can pose significant hazards in the workplace, such as electric shock and death by electrocution. In the case of a portable power supply or power cord, GFCI can provide reliable and safe protection for workers. When used correctly, Woodhead Super-Safeway and Safeway GFCI can prevent serious injuries or fatalities caused by electrical failures on construction sites, in manufacturing jobs and in other harsh industrial environments."
Woodhead GFCI products are available for automatic or manual reset. These features are extremely flexible for specific applications: automatic reset provides power as soon as it is restored, while manual reset units restore power only after the reset button is pressed to confirm that people and systems are fully safe. In addition, GFCI devices feature a dual insulation design that well meets or exceeds industry standard requirements and provides an additional layer of protection.
