Monolithic linear current regulator optimized for automotive exterior OLED lighting applications

     The STMicroelectronics L99LDLH32 32 channel LED driver is a monolithic linear current regulator optimized for automotive external OLED rear lighting applications. The high side configuration of the output channel of the L99LDLH32 driver enables the device to drive the OLED panel using a common cathode.

     The L99LDLH32 offers up to 35V output drive capability, ideal for a wide range of OLED forward voltage requirements. Channel LED drivers come in QFN48L package with exposed liner for enhanced thermal performance. The device meets the AEC-Q100 qualification for use in automotive applications. The device also features 32 regulated current sources capable of providing individually programmable currents from 1mA to 15mA to independently drive each pixel of the OLED panel.

     The L99LDLH32 driver integrates a robust, pure automotive CAN FD Light compatible communications interface, which allows for high data transfer rates (up to 1Mbit/s) and long frames using the CAN FD structure. In addition to the CAN FD Light compatible physical layer, the device has integrated protocol handlers so no additional external equipment is required to facilitate communication with the commander ECUs. The L99LDLH32 can run in bus mode using a can FD Light compatible interface, or in stand-alone/fail-safe mode using an internal small amount of time programmable (FTP) memory register.
