Murata 2w Single Output, adjustable, isolated DC/DC converters provide continuous short circuit protection

     Murata Power Solutions has announced the MTC2 Series of 2w single output, stabilized and isolated DC/DC converters. Available in 12 V(DC) or 24 V(DC) 2:1 input voltage range and output voltage 3.3V (DC), 5 V(DC), or 12 V(DC), the surface-mounted MTC2 has a 3 k V(AC) input-output isolation. The converter measures only 0.59 "x 0.56" x 0.44 "(14.99 mm x 14.22 mm x 11.23 mm) and complies with the UL/EN 60950 Enhanced Insulation Safety Standard and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 Medical Safety Specification for commercial equipment.

     With 2 x MOOP(Operator protection means). The output is adjusted to ±0.5% of the rated output voltage. The output voltage adjustment function allows ±10% of the output voltage to be adjusted to suit the needs of special applications. No additional regulatory components are required, and with a 2:1 input range, the MTC2 is capable of adapting to applications where there may be a wide input voltage deviation. Remote on/off pins are available to help sort power start-up designs or enable application energy saving features. Continuous short circuit protection ensures that loads and equipment are protected from short circuit conditions.
