NXP has partnered with geo to deliver Matter smart energy management for automated homes

NXP Semiconductors announced that as part of NXP Industrial and Smart Home Energy Management Innovation System Solutions, NXP continues to deepen its strategic partnership with geo (Green Energy Options Ltd.), a leading provider of residential energy management solutions. Promote the release of the geo SeeZero Home Energy Management System (HEMS).

     NXP Semiconductors announced that as part of NXP Industrial and Smart Home Energy Management Innovation System Solutions, NXP continues to deepen its strategic partnership with geo (Green Energy Options Ltd.), a leading provider of residential energy management solutions. Promote the release of the geo SeeZero Home Energy Management System (HEMS). SeeZero is a MatterTM certified and innovative HEMS and one of the first HEMS designed to support true mass market deployments.

 

     The SeeZero solution builds on geo's deep experience in energy management and NXP's expertise in Matter intelligent system solutions, which integrate key hardware and software components for connectivity, processing and security. SeeZero helps consumers easily and intuitively control their home energy consumption and reduce energy costs. SeeZero will also help grid operators and power plants better manage the rapid transition to residential power and heating and accelerate the growth of renewable energy.

 

     Matter is a disruptive interoperability standard that enables seamless connectivity and control between devices to automate homes and buildings. With adoption rapidly expanding, the latest version of Matter is more focused on energy management and new energy device types such as HVAC, EV charging, water heaters, solar and battery storage systems, and even smart meters and a range of more traditional smart home devices. Home energy management systems that help consumers reduce energy costs and improve comfort and convenience in their automated homes are essential for consumers to take full advantage of modern smart appliances.

 

     As a total system solutions provider for Matter and an active promoter and contributor to the establishment of the Matter standard, NXP is advancing energy ecosystem collaboration to bring a new generation of sustainable, automated and reliable electrification solutions to market. geo SeeZero HEMS, powered by NXP, automatically optimizes a home's overall energy use, ensuring that the smart home operates according to consumer preferences, while avoiding periods of high energy consumption and taking advantage of low-cost periods to reduce energy bills and reduce strain on the grid.
