NXP introduces the new EdgeLock 2GO iot Service platform to easily serve iot devices

NXP Semiconductors has introduced the new EdgeLock 2GO iot Services platform, which makes it easy and secure to deploy and manage iot devices and services. The new iot security platform integrates with NXP's Common Standard (CC)EAL 6+ certified EdgeLock SE050 security element to protect iot devices at the edge and securely connect them to one or more clouds and service providers.

The EdgeLock SE050 makes it easy to implement advanced security, and the EdgeLock 2GO simplifies secure cloud check-in and access to iot devices from different service providers. It also simplifies application credential management, zero-touch connectivity to public and private clouds, edge computing platforms, and infrastructure. NXP combines security component hardware with the EdgeLock 2GO service to enable security management independent of device manufacturers and supply chains.

EdgeLock 2GO is designed to make it easy for device manufacturers and service providers to access or move their devices to the cloud. It provides customers with tailored options to register devices on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using multi-account registration, just-in-time provisioning, and just-in-time registration. The on-demand webinar, hosted by NXP in partnership with AWS, provided an in-depth look at how the combination of EdgeLock SE050 and EdgeLock 2GO simplifies the on-premise of devices on AWS IoT Core.

EdgeLock 2GO supports multiple types of credentials and any iot device, from sensors to edge computing platforms, with the ability to roll out tailor-made options for the device. This level of flexibility speeds time to market for late-stage equipment configurations in the field. It also enables device manufacturers and service providers to dynamically connect their iot devices to multiple clouds and service providers.

Eliminating the need for device manufacturers to handle keys or certificates, EdgeLock 2GO makes it easy to maintain the security of on-site iot devices and update, revoke, or add new device credentials.
