NXP's EdgeReady Intelligent HMI solution is based on the i.MX RT117H with ML/AI visual, voice and graphical UI

     NXP's EdgeReady Intelligent HMI solution utilizes the i.MX RT117H crossover MCU to enable developers to quickly and easily enable multi-mode, intelligent, hands-free functionality, Including machine learning (ML) vision for face and gesture recognition, far-field voice control and 2D graphical user interface (GUI) in its products. Using this single NXP high-performance crossover MCU, these features can be mixed and matched to simplify the overall system design.

     I.xx RT117H is the EdgeReady member of I.XX RT1170 series crossover MCU, which is oriented towards embedded intelligent HMI applications. It features NXP advanced technology that uses an Arm Cortex-M7 core (operating at speeds up to 1 GHz) and a highly energy efficient Cortex-M4 core (up to 400 MHz) to provide high performance and real-time response. The I.MKRT117H provides users with available CPU, memory resources, and a wealth of peripherals, in addition to one-stop visual/voice algorithms, GUI capabilities, and a software framework that benefits from its proactive multitasking and dual-core architecture. These features provide users with the greatest flexibility to customize and define their products in different use cases.

     The SLN-TLHMI-IOT development suite implements NXP's intelligent HMI solution based on I.MHRT117H. The kit supports a variety of out-of-the-box applications (which can be selected by holding down SW1, SW2, or SW3 on the back of the kit while launching the kit), including the coffee maker, elevator, and smart home panel (the first two are pre-stored in the kit, while the latter can be downloaded from GitHub). These sample applications are intended to demonstrate the complex machine vision, voice, and advanced GUI capabilities supported by the suite. They also provide the basic software platform for rapid integration of unique customer applications and requirements.
