Nanoscale static current PMIC series for low-power IoT applications

     Dialog Semiconductor, a provider of highly integrated custom and configurable power management, AC/DC power conversion, charging and Bluetooth low power technologies, has announced the launch of the first fully integrated Nanoscale static current PMIC family for Internet of Things (IoT) applications - the DA9070 and DA9073. This latest and more powerful PMIC series builds on the success of Dialog's first generation of Nanoscale static current PMIC series, and further demonstrates that Dialog is pushing the boundaries of its PMIC technology to improve the performance of low-power IoT applications.

     Dialog's new DA9070 and DA9073 nanoamp static current PMIC are designed to meet this need. The PMIC series provides static current of less than 1uA for each step-down regulator that supplies power to alway on components in the system, thereby extending battery life. Combined with all key power management functions, the board area is 25% smaller than the solution with discrete devices. Developers can also create battery meter solutions using the integrated voltage and current monitors in the DA9070.

     While other solutions on the market may integrate several features, Dialog's new Na 'an-class static current PMIC provides system design engineers with an all-in-one power management solution. These PMics not only extend the battery life of IoT devices, but also save developers valuable board space.
