New IEC connectors and power input modules and PDUs are unveiled

     L-com introduces a new line of IEC connectors and power input modules, IEC connector accessories and IEC distribution units.Collectively, these products provide reliable, uninterrupted AC power connections for critical equipment. They power computers, monitors, printers, servers, networking equipment, audio and video equipment, industrial machinery, and more.

     Faulty power connections can become a thing of the past with new IEC connector wires. They offer a full range of IEC C13, C14, C15, C16, C18, C19, C20 and 32020-2-2 mains rated intakes, sockets and connectors. They comply with IEC and EN 60320 specifications and are certified by UL, CSA, VDE and others.

     IEC connectors are available in a variety of mounting methods and terminals, including flange fixing, snap-on to panel and PCB mounting versions, as well as 2.8mm wide solder sheets, quick connection quick connection sheets in widths of 4.8mm and 6.3mm, screw terminals and PC overflow versions.      The company's new power input modules provide an adaptable solution for panel design. They allow the combination of main inlet and outlet, filter inlet, switch, fuse holder, voltage selector and indicator mounted in the bezel ready for quick, snap-on assembly. For designers who prefer the safety of screw fixation, there is an alternative to flange fixation.

     The new PDUs have four, five or six sockets rated at 10A and 250V to suit a variety of uses. Most IEC distribution units have closed receptacles to prevent accidental contact with electrical contacts in the receptacles when not in use. Larger models offer EMI filtering to ensure that the power they provide is clean and free of electrical noise, which is especially important in environments where equipment and communication systems coexist.

     Pdus are protected in a robust thermoplastic ABS housing, and some PDUs are mounted to the panel with screws. Many models have integrated fuse holders and light switches.
