New security-focused products are designed to optimize and extend embedded security

     Microchip Technology announced that it has expanded its portfolio of security authentication devices to include six new products in the CryptoAuthentication and CryptoAutomotive IC family that comply with the common standard JIL high rated security key storage, It also supports FIPS-compliant authentication algorithms. This portfolio of secure authentication devices lowers barriers to entry and allows product developers in new market segments and applications to perform trusted authentication to prevent counterfeiting, enhance quality control and protect the user experience.

     Implementing embedded trust in many designs is critical because counterfeit products are prevalent in multiple industries. The devices are supported by the Trust Platform Design Suite, a dedicated software tool used to install the company's secure key configuration services on these ics. This scalable service allows crypto assets to be provided for projects of almost any size, from dozens of devices to large-scale deployments across industries, including consumer and medical disposables, automotive and industrial accessory ecosystems, wireless charging, and data centers.

The security product is compatible with any MPUs or MCUS and can be used as a companion device to its AVR MCU and ARM-based MPUS and MCUS.
