Nexperia has announced a strategic partnership with renowned automotive supplier KOSTAL to facilitate the production of wide-band gap (WBG) devices that meet stringent specifications for automotive applications. Under the terms of the partnership, Amperi will supply, develop and manufacture WBG power electronics, which will be designed and tested by Kostal. The partnership will primarily focus on manufacturing SiC MOSFETs in top-cooled (TSC) QDPAK packages for electric vehicle (EV) on-board chargers (OBCs).

KOSTAL has announced that it will expand its strategic silicon carbide supply portfolio to fuel its growth trajectory through 2030, with a particular emphasis on e-mobility applications for both on-road and off-highway applications.
