Nexperia has announced the launch of an energy balance calculator. This is a powerful networking tool designed to help battery management engineers maximize the battery life of their applications or achieve battery-free applications. The calculator provides engineers with precise data to help them make informed decisions to integrate Nexperia's energy harvesting PMIC into their systems.
At the heart of the Nexperia Energy capture PMIC is the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm that helps a variety of consumer electronics and iot devices efficiently harvest energy from the environment. To take full advantage of the potential of these PMics, the calculator uses actual technical parameters. It calculates the energy transferred to the load and the energy compensation. As a result, it is possible to gain insight into potential battery life extensions or achieve energy autonomy. Engineers can also visualize system efficiency and accuracy through the efficiency curve provided by the tool.
