Nexperia introduces four new TrEOS ESD protection devices

     Nexperia, a specialist in high-capacity production of semiconductor base components, has introduced four new TrEOS ESD protection devices that are AEC-Q101 certified for automotive applications and can withstand temperatures up to 175°C. At the same time, like all TrEOS devices, these new automotive devices have low capacitance, ensure high signal integrity, and have low clamp voltage and high robustness for new on-board interfaces. Specific in-vehicle applications include infotainment, multimedia and ADAS systems with USB 3.2, HDMI, LVDS, SerDes and SD card interfaces.

     Nexperia's TrEOS ESD protection technology uses active SCR rectifier to overcome traditional protection challenges. With capacitance as low as 0.5 pF and clamping voltage as low as 3 V, the device can withstand surges and ESD pulses up to 10 A 8/20 µs. This performance is among the most advanced in the industry and is available in a widely proven SOT23 package.
