Nexperia ultra-low capacitance ESD protection diode protection automobile data interface

     Nexperia announced the expansion of its product portfolio of ultra-low clamping and ultra-low capacitance ESD protection diodes. This portfolio is designed to protect high-speed data cables such as USB 3.2, HDMI 2.0, LVDS, automotive A/V monitors, monitors, and cameras. In addition, the product portfolio also aims to solve the future high-speed video link and open technology alliance MGbit Ethernet applications.these AEC-Q101 vehicle scale devices have deep rebound characteristics and 0.27 Ω low resistance characteristics, which can improve system level robustness and clamping performance in high-speed data interfaces.

     The new products include 2-pin single wire devices PESD5V0C1BLS-Q and PESD5V0C1ULS-Q, which are packaged with ultra compact DFN1006BD-2 and optimize wiring flexibility. In addition, there are two three pin differential circuit devices PESD5V0C2UM and PESD5V0C2UM-Q packaged with DFN1006-3. To improve electrical performance and signal integrity, all versions are encapsulated without pins.

     Electrostatic discharge (ESD) voltage clamping diodes play a vital role in protecting data interfaces in automotive subsystems from damage. It is worth mentioning that they will not affect the integrity of data signals, nor will they adversely affect the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance of the system they protect. Nexperia has long accumulated expertise in designing ESD protection solutions to achieve ultra-low device capacitance (as low as 0.3 pF), enabling these diodes to provide excellent signal integrity performance. To maximize design flexibility, these diodes are available in dual line DFN1006-3 and single line DFN1006BD-2 packages. The latter package has a solderable side, enabling automatic optical inspection (AOI).
