On November 20, Novosense and ChipSine Semiconductor unveiled the NS800RT series real-time control MCUs, offering high efficiency, robust real-time control, and versatile peripherals for picosecond-level PWM control in applications like inverters, UPS, automation, robotics, EV power systems, and compressors, enhancing precision and efficiency.

Initial Models and Core Specifications
The initial lineup of the NS800RT series includes the NS800RT5039, NS800RT5049, and NS800RT3025. These models integrate single Arm Cortex-M7 cores operating at 260MHz or 200MHz. They support branch prediction, a DSP instruction set, and FPU.
The series is equipped with:
- 256KB SRAM
- 32KB cache (I-Cache and D-Cache)
- Up to 256KB tightly coupled memory (ITCM and DTCM)
These features deliver faster read/write speeds, significantly boosting core processing performance. Moreover, the devices are AEC-Q100 automotive-qualified and support ISO26262 ASIL B and IEC61508 SIL2 functional safety standards. Integrated AES-128/256 and TRNG algorithms further enhance data security.
Enhanced DSP Performance with eMath Accelerator
In addition to the Arm Cortex-M7 core, the NS800RT series features a hardware eMath accelerator for floating-point operations. This enhances DSP performance dramatically compared to standard Cortex-M7 MCUs, particularly for operations such as trigonometric calculations, square roots, exponential and logarithmic functions, FFT, matrix calculations, and FIR filtering.

- 16 complementary/32 independent PWM outputs (with 16 channels of high-resolution HRPWM)
- Three 12-bit ADCs with up to 5MSPS sampling rates and INL/DNL as low as ±1.5LSB across 34 channels
- Two 12-bit DACs with 1MSPS sampling rates and ±1.5LSB INL
- 14 high-speed analog comparators (CMPSS) with integrated DACs and ramp generators
- Three programmable gain amplifiers (PGA) for differential input
- Eight Sigma-Delta filter modules (SDFM)
- Two high-precision clocks with accuracy up to ±1% across all temperatures
