Nuvoton's NuMicro ML56 series low-power microcontrollers are built with a 1T 8051 core, embedded 64KB flash memory and 4KB SRAM, built-in capacion-touch buttons, and an LCD driver operating at up to 24MHz, with a 1.8V operating range To 3.6V, operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C

     Nuvoton's NuMicro ML56 series of low-power microcontrollers are built with a 1T 8051 core, embedded 64KB flash memory and 4KB SRAM, built-in touch-sensitive buttons, and LCD drivers running at frequencies up to 24MHz. In normal operation mode with low power operation, it can run below 100 µA/MHz. When the LCD panel is on, the power off current is less than 2 µA. The ML56 series has an operating voltage range of 1.8V to 3.6V and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.

 

     The NuMicro ML56 series integrated integrated touch sensing circuit with enhanced touch key controller supports up to 14 separate touch channels with low power consumption and high noise resistance as well as water resistance. The touch key can be one of the wake sources and has a high noise resistance of 10 VRMS, so it is particularly suitable for household appliances and industrial controls.

 

     The ML56 series has built-in 4 COM x 32 SEG, 6 COM x 30 SEG, and 8 COM x 28 SEG LCD controllers that drive up to 224 points and support Type-A and Type-B LCD panels. It provides two VLCD input sources, one is the external voltage and the other is the internal charging pump. When the VDD input changes, the internal charging pump can keep the VLCD constant to ensure the LCD panel display quality. There are two VLCD drive modes, external capacitance mode and internal resistance mode. The high drive current external capacitor mode supports large panels, and the internal resistance mode drives small panels to reduce power consumption.
