OmniVision introduces ultra-fine ribbon modules for the medical industry for disposable endoscopes

     OmniVision announces OVMed OCHTA, an ultra-fine medical-grade ribbon module for disposable endoscopes. The product uses 0.45mm ultra-fine cables to connect a small 400x400 resolution imager to the endoscope, with cable lengths of 1.5 and 2.5 meters (up to 4 meters for custom models), with the option to add micro-LED lighting. OVMed OCHTA's complete turnkey solution, including lenses and image signal processors, helps medical device manufacturers reduce costs and time to market.

     Howe Group's OCHTA ribbon module uses a 6-wire cable, allowing manufacturers to add their own LED lighting fixtures. In addition, the Howe Group offers customizable cable lengths, connectors and leds, giving manufacturers a fully tested, single-source solution that can be used in production. The OCHTA band line module includes an ultra-small size imager with a resolution of 400 x 400, up from the previous generation's 200 x 200, for sharper imaging.
