The LCD touch and display integrated driver chip TD4160 made by OmniVision supports HD+resolution, 120Hz display frame rate, and a-Si panel technology to meet consumers' demand for quality experience in human-computer interaction.

TD4160 is used for advanced matrix touch panel, which can drive the integration of touch and display drive with HD resolution of a-Si panel. On the basis of 720 RGB * 1680 resolution, 256 gray scale and 24bpp digital format, it can present more than 16 million colors and display digital pixel processing at a display frame rate of up to 120Hz. The TD4160 also supports the advanced matrix method for touch screen control, and realizes capacitive sensing human-computer interaction with ghost free multi-point touch coordinate sensing.

TD4160 mainly provides touch and display solutions for small and medium-sized portable devices equipped with color graphic displays, such as digital mobile phones and smartphones. The chip adopts a touch and display driver integrated circuit (TDDI) architecture, integrates a boost circuit and a voltage follower circuit to generate the driving voltage and image processing required by TFT LCD panel, thereby improving image quality and reducing power consumption. The firmware developed by Howell Group can realize automatic conversion between various touch acquisition modes, thereby reducing power consumption and optimizing performance.
