OnRobot's new mini electric vacuum gripper

     OnRobot, the global leader in robotic end-tools (EOAT), announced the VGC10, a small electric vacuum gripper to meet customer demand for a small, powerful, highly configurable gripper that can be used in most applications. The design of the small VGC10 is based on the award-winning OnRobot VG10 electric vacuum gripper.

     It is smaller and lighter than its larger counterparts, making it ideal for space-constrained environments and smaller robotic arms, but it can also carry payloads of up to 15 kg (35 lb). The VGC10 can be deployed quickly out of the box, while offering unlimited customization, an easily replaceable suction cup option, and the ability to add or replace robotic arms to meet the needs of very specific applications. This configurability allows the VGC10 to grasp and move a wide range of small, multi-dimensional and heavy objects, even when the payload of the arm is light.

     The VGC10 has two independently controlled air channels, allowing it to act as a dual gripper, that is, to grab and release in the same motion at the same time, further improving efficiency and shortening cycle times. The gripper can also be used with a single air channel for higher gripper performance. This small electric gripper eliminates the cost, noise, space and maintenance of compressed air without the need for a compressor or air supply, making it easy to use and move. The fully integrated software of OnRobot's new all-in-one system solution platform enables rapid deployment and redeployment on any major collaborative or light industrial robot arm for increased production flexibility.
