Onsemi, a leader in smart power and intellisense technologies, announced the renewal of a long-term supply agreement with luxury smart electric vehicle brand Li Auto. Ideal Car uses Onsemi's proven 8-megapixel image sensor in its Extended Range Electric Model (EREV). With this agreement, Ideal Automotive will use ON's high-performance EliteSiC 1200V bare chip in its next generation of 800V high-voltage pure electric models and continue to integrate ON's 8-megapixel high-performance image sensors in its future models. The collaboration between the two companies will accelerate the electrification of vehicles and improve driving safety.
The Onsemi EliteSiC 1200 V product enables a more energy efficient and lightweight design to help increase range and speed charging, and the bare chip allows customers to differentiate package design based on specific application needs. The 8-megapixel image sensor improves the system's intelligence perception, enabling safer advanced Driver assistance systems (ADAS) and moving toward level L3/L4 autonomous driving systems.
