Osram launches a new range of LED products to create personalized lighting solutions

     In recent years, modern LED technology has established its own standards in an increasing number of applications. Osram Semiconductor introduces the new Synios S 2222 product family, which features compact dimensions, high brightness values and a wide color gamut of light sources. From customized lighting solutions for electronic devices, environmental lighting such as trains and aircraft, to high-quality architectural lighting solutions, the product range is suitable for a wide range of applications.

     The product family provides efficient and flexible solutions for a wide range of low and medium power applications, from 10 mah to 200 mah. Customers can choose from six colors and can create more colors by combining them themselves. In addition to white versions (3000-6500 K, CRI > 80), the product range includes blue (445 nm-460 nm), green (520 nm-540 nm), yellow (583 nm-595 nm, conversion type and direct light source type), Red (612 nm-626 nm) and dark red (626 nm-636 nm). The product family has a package size of 2.2 mm x 2.2 mm and is designed as a single solder pad for easy integration into many different solutions. The package thickness is only 0.6 mm, making flat lighting solutions possible.

     To achieve the highest performance in smaller and smaller sizes is the development trend of discrete components. The Synios S 2222 product family is OSram's latest achievement in this regard. For example, the yellow phosphor light emitting product has a current of only 140 mA, but can achieve a high brightness value of 50 lumens. Because the chip is in the center of the package, additional optical components can be easily integrated into different components depending on the application scenario.
