Power Integrations, a leading company in the field of energy-efficient power conversion for high voltage integrated circuits, announced the launch of the InnoSwitch™4-CZ series of high frequency, zero voltage switching (ZVS) flyback switching ics. The InnoSwitch4-CZ device integrates a reliable and durable 750V primary switch with Power Integrations' PowiGaN™ technology and a new high-frequency active clamping flyback controller, making it easy to design a new ultra-compact charger for mobile phones, tablets and laptops.
Balu Balakrishnan, CEO of Power Integrations, said: "The launch of the InnoSwitch4-CZ series IC marks an important milestone for gallium nitride (GaN) technology. The PowiGaN switch, combined with our active clamping solution ClampZero, enables an efficient design and extremely compact form factor.
