Panasonic's CF1 lightweight connectors are suitable for automotive applications with high impact, high vibration and high heat resistance requirements

     Demand for FPC cables is increasing for automotive devices such as dashboards, steering switches, taillights, gear shifters, mirrors, headlights, and battery management systems. Panasonic's CF1 series panels provide 125°C heat resistance and necessary vibration characteristics to FPC automotive connectors for the automotive and transportation markets.

     They meet overall weight reduction requirements and avoid operator wiring failures caused by wire connections in automotive applications. The CF1 Series Automotive connector can be connected directly without any relay harness when connected to the FPC bar and board of the battery management system. The series of automotive connectors maintain contact reliability by using a double-sided clip-on contact structure.

     Panasonic's CF1 series connectors have an inertial locking structure that prevents 4-pin type half-splints. The bridge structure prevents accidental operation of the lock. The CF1 series design allows reflow soldering of the plug assembly to be performed simultaneously with other surface mount components without additional processes, while other competing components require manual connection.
