Philips Hue has announced a new wireless dimmer switch module

     Philips Hue has announced a new wireless dimmer switch module that gives Hue users direct control over smart lighting via a standard wall switch. The new Philips Hue wall switch module is the ideal addition to any Philips Hue setup.

     Installed behind an existing light switch, it allows users to turn their existing switch into a smart switch and ensures that their smart lighting is always viable, whether through an app or through voice control, and users no longer need to get up from the couch to turn on a switch that a family member or a guest in the house may have turned off.

     The company also unveiled a new version of its wireless dimmer switch with a curvier design. Instead of four buttons like the switch module it replaces, there are only three, with the two dimming buttons in the middle merged into one large button, and the button now also has a small tactile marker so that users can find the right button in the dark.

     Users can select lighting scenes in the Hue app and customize the function of the switch to personalize the family atmosphere. The module includes power on and off switches, dimming controls, and a button that allows users to cycle through their favorite scenes. Like the module it replaces, the new dimmer switch also includes a removable remote control.

     In addition, Philips Hue has introduced a new outdoor lighting system. Amarant is an ambient LED strip for use on the blank walls of gardens or balconies. It features a wall-washing effect, enhanced by a metal shield for vivid light. Amarant can also be integrated with existing Hue low-pressure Outdoor products such as Hue Lily, Hue Calla, or Hue Outdoor Lightstrip. Philips Hue is also updating its Appear outdoor wall lights with a stainless steel brushed finish for easier installation.
