Plug-in partners for cable connectors in demanding industrial applications

     Demanding industrial applications require compact, robust connectors that can reliably transmit high currents and voltages. binder now offers the perfect solution: a special flange assembly as a plug-in partner for the PBC15 cable connector. This combination provides tailor-made solutions for a wide range of applications such as drive technology. Standardized flange assemblies are cross-manufacturer compatible according to DIN EN IEC 61076-2-116, providing maximum flexibility.

     The PBC15 connector system is ideal when large currents and high voltages need to be transferred in small Spaces. Philipp Zuber, Product Manager at binder, explains: "The system is particularly suitable for applications where power and signals need to be transmitted over cables. The shielded connector is ideal for applications that require high signal integrity or require electromagnetic transmission."

     Connectors have proven themselves in the industry by offering three-phase motors, asynchronous motors and frequency converters. Due to its characteristics, it can be applied in drive technology, automation technology, internal logistics and mechanical engineering, such as fans, pumps and packaging machines.the new flange assembly creates a seamless connection for safe power and signal transmission, further supporting the advantages of the system.

     Flanged assemblies are available as flanged plugs and flanged receptacles (with locking mechanism), each in unshielded plastic versions or shielded versions with metal assemblies. They offer standard wire cross sections of 1.5mm² and 2.5mm², with a conductor length of 250mm, allowing up to 16A of current to be transmitted at 630V. The flange assembly has M20x1.5 mounting threads and can be installed directly in a customer-specific housing or in a device or motor housing using a locking nut. Quick lock mechanism can be done with ¼ turn.
