Power modules to meet the growing needs of the industrial and railway industries

     Flex Power Modules is now launching new DC-DC power modules for the industrial and rail industries, meeting the growing demand in these areas by expanding its product range and offering additional versions of existing products with different input/output voltage ranges. These modules are packaged in a sealed plastic seal to ensure reliable operation when subjected to dust, moisture, violent vibration and other harsh conditions.

     For industrial applications, Flex power modules offer high reliability, high performance and rugged DC-DC solutions in a standard form factor. They are typically powered by a 24V or 12V supply, rather than the 48V supply common in information and communication technology (ICT) applications.

     For railway applications, the company offers a range of products that meet the most stringent electrical and environmental specifications. Modern railway systems require a variety of DC-DC converters to power different monitoring and control units. The new range means that Flex power modules can now meet a wider range of requirements.

The success of our existing PKE and PKM-A modules gives us the confidence to invest in more products for these applications - ensuring that more customers can benefit from the high quality and reliability of our power solutions."

     These DC-DC modules support a variety of input voltages to meet the needs of different applications. For industrial products, they include versions 9 to 36V, 18 to 36V, 9 to 75V, and 18 to 75V. Other modules offer input ranges from 43 to 160V and 66 to 160V for different railway application bus voltages, such as 72V, 96V and 110V.

     Flex power modules offer a wide range of product families for the industrial and rail industries, with five product families currently available: PKV series (1.65-3W), PKE 3000 series (15-30W/Vin 9-36V), PKE 5000 series (15-30W/Vin 18-75V), PKE 8000A series (40W/Vin 9-75V) and PKM 7000A series (66-160V for 100W/Vin). The new products are ideal for a wide range of applications, including process control, factory automation, robotics, alternative energy, smart grids, and test and measurement. More series and additional input and output voltage combinations will be added in the coming months.
