Powerbox introduces power supply products for high speed conveyor belts for electronic commercial use

     Powerbox announced the introduction of the ENI250A series, designed to deliver peak power to motor start-up or/and highly soluble loads in factory automation applications. The three-phase ENI250A series is packaged in an IP54 housing and delivers constant 250W and 480W peak power with an efficiency of up to 94%. The ENI250A has a microcontroller that provides a variety of adjustable protection functions to meet the specific needs of the customer.

     Factory automation is well established in many industries, but with the development of artificial intelligence (AI), remote communications, and the growing need to shorten customer lead times, this demand is expected to explode in the coming years. Similarly, the growth of automated parcel distribution centers is expected to increase significantly. The rapid growth of e-commerce has prompted a corresponding market for automated distribution center conveyor belts, sorting switches and many other devices that require efficient and smart power solutions and are capable of working in a variety of environments.

     Parcel distribution center designers and hub operators face multiple challenges when dealing with various types of equipment. This not only requires high-quality, high-performance power supplies, but is capable of operating in harsh environments while being subject to complex mechanical, thermal and electrical constraints.

     For 24-volt DC motors, the 250W ENI250A24 delivers 480W peak power in one second, maintains a high capacitive load, and manages energy recovery when the DC motor slows or stops. This feature is important for energy saving and extending equipment life. For higher power or redundancy, the ENI250A24 can simply be paralleled. The product has an operating temperature range of -25 to +70 degrees Celsius.

     ENI250A24 includes soft start, overcurrent, voltage and temperature protection. An LED indicator to inform the status of the power supply, a DC-OK signal and remote reset facilitate the transfer center's integrated operations management system. The product is designed using PowerBox's reliable power platform concept combined with an efficient and compact LLC topology with active power factor correction (PFC).

     The ENI250A24 is versatile and can accept three-phase input voltages from 323VAC to 560VAC and is designed to meet safety specifications 60950-1 and 62368-1. EMC conforms to EN61000-6-3 and EN61000-6-2.

     The ENI250A24 is packaged in an IP54 housing with a size of 250x160x55mm and a weight of 1.5kg. The mounting bracket is also easy to install. Designed to facilitate customer equipment integration, the ENI250A platform can be reconfigured in the factory to suit specific shape requirements.
