Protect and extend the life of 1 core lithium ion and lithium polymer rechargeable batteries

     ABLIC S-82M1A, S-82N1A, and S-82N1B battery protection ics offer longer battery life and increased security, and feature ultra-low 990nA(maximum) current consumption during operation. These devices are designed for single-cell lithium ion and lithium polymer rechargeable batteries with accuracy of up to ±15mV of overcharge detection voltage.

     ABLIC S-82M1A Battery Protection IC uses external current detection resistance to reduce the effect of temperature changes and provide high-precision overcurrent protection. S-82N1A features an external input to the CTL(charge/discharge control signal input) pin, which activates the charge/discharge control function and disables battery charge/discharge. The IC provides thermal protection by connecting the PTC thermistor to the CTL pin to disable the charge-discharge battery pack at high temperatures.

     The S-82N1B features an external input to the PS(power-saving signal input) pin that will activate the power-saving function and disable battery discharge. At the same time, the protection IC itself inhibits current consumption to a maximum of 50nA. When the product is in storage and not in use, this feature extends the time until the battery voltage drops to zero, protecting the product from deep discharge and contributing to better safety.All three devices are offered in a compact SNT-6A package, ideal for space-constrained applications
