Protect machine learning IP using watermarking tools

     NXP Semiconductor now offers a new eIQ model watermarking tool for its eIQ Toolkit for machine learning development. The new tool is the industry's first effective tool to help developers protect their machine learning investments.

     The tool inserts watermarks into the machine learning model, adding copyright ownership to the model and enabling developers to verify that the machine learning model is a copy or clone of their model IP without having to access the model's code. Some say data is the new gold. Nowhere is this truer than in machine learning, where the quality of a model depends heavily on the quality of the data it is trained on. Domain expertise is critical to creating efficient models.

     While machine learning models are a valuable differentiating asset for companies, they often lack copyright protections to protect common software from unauthorized copying or cloning. The new tools enable developers to copyright their machine learning models, while also allowing developers to detect unauthorized use and protect their unique IP.
