The PGT646xNL series extends the EFD15 power transformers that Pulse Electronics is known for for their versatility in DC/DC converter applications. The platform uses an innovative spool design to extend the creepage distance from the pin to the core to a minimum of 5.1mm, with minimal impact on the size. It adopts a 5+5 pin SMD platform design (22.0mm × 16.5mm x 11mm).

PGT646x series includes two transformers with different input voltage ranges and withstand voltage specifications. PGT6466NL meets 3000 VDC application isolation requirements for low-voltage input. The high input voltage PGT6465NL makes use of the complete isolation capability of the extended creepage platform with 4000 VRMS isolation specification. The spool design and wire selection allow the winding automation, making the product very suitable for high-performance and high reliability applications, such as data communication, industrial and automotive markets, which also require price competitive solutions
