Qorvo QPF4516B Wi-Fi 6 Front-End Module

     Qorvo's new QPF4516B Wi-Fi 6 front-end module (FEM). This is a highly integrated 5mm × 3mm FEM product designed for Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) applications to significantly accelerate wireless download/upload speeds, increase data transfer capacity, improve wireless network connection quality in crowded places, and Extends battery life in Internet of Things (IoT) client devices, ideal for a variety of Wi-Fi 6 applications, including wireless routers, customer premises equipment and wireless access points.

     The Qorvo QPF4516B FEM integrates a 5.0GHz power amplifier, a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch, and a bypassed low-noise amplifier. It can support more users per access point, greater traffic requirements per user, higher density deployments, more cellular data offload, and the higher power and performance required for Wi-Fi 6 applications. The module's power amplifier is optimized for a 5V supply voltage, which saves power consumption while maintaining high linear output power and high throughput. As a high-performance FEM, the QPF4516B can achieve a transmit gain of 33dB and a receive gain of 15dB with a noise figure of 2dB.

     The QPF4516B FEM has a logarithmic power detector for power control over the entire power spectrum, making it suitable for applications using high gain antennas and also for end users who do not wish to spend too much time calibrating the device in practice .
