Qorvo introduces a new power application controller

     Qorvo announced the launch of the most powerful MCU and integrated motor control and drive control product on the market, the new PAC5527 power Application controller. Qorvo's system-on-a-chip (SoC) controller delivers high efficiency, high performance and long battery life with brushless direct current (BLDC) motor powered tools.

"With PAC5527, Oems are able to design highly reliable, high-performance tools with minimal footprint."

     Qorvo's new PAC5527 Power Application Controller (PAC) integrates multiple devices in a single SOC, including the Flash-based high-performance 150MHz Arm Cortex-M4F with 128kB of built-in FLASH. Power management equipment; Programmable current high and low end gate drivers; And signal conditioning components. This combination can significantly save PCB space and reduce BOM by up to 30% compared to competing solutions.

     With Qorvo's high-performance MCUS, designers are able to add additional value-added features such as safety standards, diagnostics, and self-test capabilities to enhance tool reliability and quality. Consumers can also benefit from tools that are lighter, more compact, more reliable and have a longer battery life.

     BLDC motors are widely used because of their maintenance-free, long service life, high power efficiency and low noise operation. In addition to electric and garden tools, the next generation of systems will shift from brushless DC motors to brushless DC motors, including white goods, HVAC systems, automotive, aerospace, defense and medical devices.
