Qorvo introduces high performance low noise amplifiers

     Qorvo, a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile, infrastructure and aerospace and defense applications, The QPL9547, QPL9057, QPL9058 and QPL9504 are a family of high-performance low noise amplifiers (Lans) tailored for base station infrastructure deployments including 5G Massive MIMO (m-MIMO). Qorvo's new LAN series is compact and combines the industry's lowest noise factor (up to 0.3 dB at 2 GHz) with excellent reliability and scalability.

     The flagship product in this family, the QPL9547 LNA, uses Qorvo's new generation enhanced mode pseudo-crystalline high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) process to provide a market-leading noise figure and higher receiver sensitivity for cellular base stations. This LNA can be matched internally and comes in a 2 mm x 2 mm compact package, saving space for system design. Other Lnas in the product family, such as QPL9057, QPL9058, and QPL9504, are optimized to provide the high gain and disabled pin capabilities required for 5G wireless infrastructure.

     Joe Madden, principal analyst at Mobile Experts, Inc., said: "In 5G networks, the uplink is the limiting factor, and massive MIMO makes the uplink even more important. Having both a low noise figure and a high dynamic range is the key to achieving greater 5G network coverage. We expect that with the rise of massive MIMO worldwide, the market will need a large number of these LNA products."
