Qorvo, a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile, infrastructure and aerospace/defense applications, announced the introduction of new high-performance RF filters such as 885067, 885075, TQQ0041E, TQQ0041T and TQQ1007. Delivers higher data throughput and longer battery life for next-generation 4G smartphones and other mobile devices. These products are the latest additions to Qorvo's rapidly evolving family of advanced filters, all using Qorvo's proprietary filtering technology to enhance the overall experience for mobile users, optimize the efficient use of limited spectrum, and set new benchmarks in terms of performance and size.
"The global market transition to 4G is just beginning, and higher filtering performance is a key enabler for LTE and TD-LTE solutions," said Eric Creviston, president of Qorvo's Mobile Products Division. "With our leading-edge filtering technology, broad product portfolio, system-level expertise and high-volume production scale, Qorvo is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the growing market demand for highly specialized filtering solutions."
Industry analysts predict strong market demand for high-performance filters. "Smartphones will have more LTE bands and carrier aggregation capabilities to achieve higher data rates, prompting Oems to use more high-performance RF filters and duplexers. We expect the total market for standard and advanced RF filters in cellular devices to grow by more than 25 percent annually from 2014 to 2019." Christopher Taylor of Strategy Analytics.
With increasingly demanding performance requirements and increasing RF complexity, Qorvo's proprietary LowDrift and NoDrift filtering technology solves the industry's most challenging LTE system and chipset problems. "Over the next few years, LTE-Advanced will introduce more sophisticated carrier-frequency aggregation and MIMO technologies, while Qorvo is committed to setting industry standards in performance and size," said Glen Riley, general manager, Qorvo Filter Solutions. "Qorvo is redefining the filtering performance of small filters and achieving unmatched temperature stability, resulting in longer battery life, reduced insertion losses, reduced service outages and reduced drop rates."
