Qualcomm launches advanced Internet of Things solutions

     To continue expanding the iot ecosystem and use cases, Qualcomm Technologies announced the launch of new iot solutions to support the development of next-generation iot terminals: Qualcomm QCS8550, QCM8550, QCS4490 and QCM4490 processors. The new and upgraded solutions offer rich functionality, advanced features, and a wide range of uses designed to meet the demanding needs of industry and commercial iot applications, enabling new use cases to further expand the iot ecosystem in key areas such as video collaboration, cloud gaming, and retail.

     The new Qualcomm QCS8550 and Qualcomm QCM8550 processors combine powerful computing and edge-side AI processing, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and lifelike graphics and video capabilities to support and facilitate rapid deployment of high-performance, demanding iot applications, such as autonomous mobile robots and industrial drones. It also supports robust video and graphics processing, enabling immersive cloud gaming, video collaboration and video streaming experiences.

     The Qualcomm QCS4490 and Qualcomm QCM4490 processors deliver key advanced features such as top-of-the-line connectivity and next-generation processing to industrial handheld and computing terminals. Support for Android versions is planned up to the future Android 18, which means that both products can be used in industrial designs up to 2030, minimizing terminal development time and cost by providing more flexible processors with longer product life.
