RECOM introduces 0.5A switching regulator in DOSA LGA package

     RECOM's new RPMH-0.5 series comes in a standard 12.19 x 12.19 x 3.75mm, DOSA-compliant thermal enhanced thin LGA package, extending the existing compact switching regulator product line. Output current is 0.5 A, 5 kinds of voltage output are: 3.3 V (+ / - 10% and 20%), 5 V (+ / - 10% and 20%), 12 V (+ / - 10% and 40%), 15 V (+ / - 10% and 40%) or 24 V (+ / - 17% and 37%). The input voltage can be up to 65V and the differential pressure can be as low as 1V-1.5V, suitable for use with nominal 5, 12, 24 or 48V power rail systems.

     With excellent thermal management performance, the RPMH-0.5 series can operate at full load at -40°C to 95°C (100°C) with natural air cooling alone. The converter has an efficiency of up to 89%, providing 500mA output current over the entire input voltage range. Efficiency is also excellent at extremely low loads, which, combined with extremely low static currents down to 16µA (3.3V and 5V versions), is suitable for applications with "sleep mode", such as microprocessors and transceiver modules.

     The RPMH series also has 6 shielding sides to achieve low radiation EMI, so EMI Class B requirements can be met with simple and low-cost inductors. Other features include comprehensive protection functions (UVLO, SCP, OCP), power-on sequencing, soft start, on/off control, remote feedback, and good power signal.
