RECOM introduces 30W wide input DC/DC Converter in size only 1 "x1"

     The new REC30E-Z DC/DC converter combines power density, performance and cost with a power rating of 30W and a package size of only 25.4 x 25.4 x 10mm. Components have a wide input range of 9-36V (50V surge) and 18-75V (100V surge), covering a variety of nominal voltages and tolerances, and offer a variety of stabilized single and dual outputs: 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 25V, +/-12V, and +/15VDC.

     These components use RECOM's signature advanced circuitry and thermal design to achieve peak efficiency of over 90% and operate in high temperature environments without derating. Under forced air cooling or derating conditions, power output is limited to a maximum housing temperature of 105°C. The efficiency curve is basically flat when the load is above 20% to achieve low standby loss without minimum load. Modules provide turn-off control to enter low power mode, and single-output versions also feature +/-10% output trimmer pins.

     The REC30E-Z series is rated for isolation at 2kV/ min and is certified as safe by IEC/EN 62368-1. No external components are required to meet EMC standard EN 55032 A, and only a simple external filter network is required to meet Class B requirements. Based on MIL-HDBK estimates of 217F, GB, and 25°C, MTBF estimates usually exceed 500khrs.

     The through-hole cartridge REC30E-Z series offers excellent thermal performance and shielding in a rugged metal case package for harsh pollution Class 2 environments. These products are commonly used in industry, but they can be used in any product, especially in applications where board space is very limited, cost sensitive, and high reliability and performance requirements are required.
