RECOM introduces a 3kW half-brick lift converter with 98% efficiency

     RECOM's recently launched RBBA3000 non-isolated booster DC/DC converter is available in an industry-standard baseboard-cooled half-brick package with a maximum output power of 3kW. The input voltage ranges from 9 to 60VDC, and the user can program the output voltage and maximum current in the 0-60VDC and 0-50A ranges, respectively, through a single resistor or externally applied voltage. One of the features is that the topological structure of the lift type allows the output voltage to be lower or higher than the input voltage.

     The RBBA3000 has an excellent 98% conversion efficiency and delivers full power over the operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C when properly cooled. The current sharing pin can be used to monitor the load current, and the pin can also be used to parallel two modules to provide an active load balancing output of up to 100A. The converters comply with EMC EN55024 and, through an external filter, with EN 55032 class A and B. Common applications for this product are 48V to 24V or 12V to 24V battery power conversion, electric vehicle voltage regulators, battery regulators or laboratory high power DC power supplies.
