RECOM introduces the REC8E series of 8W DC/DC converters in a cost-effective 1x1 package

     RECOM announces the REC8E Series of 8W DC/DC converters in a cost-effective 1 "x1" package. The series offers three input voltage ranges, including 20-60VDC for 48V lithium-ion batteries and LV 148 applications.

     RECOM introduces the REC8E series of cost-effective, high-efficiency 8W DC/DC converters designed for battery-powered applications. Three input voltage ranges are available: 9-18V (12V system), 18-36V (24V system) and 20-60V (48V system), the latter complying with LV 148's requirements for 48V lithium-ion voltage for vehicles. When the battery voltage falls below a safe level, the undervoltage lock function automatically shuts down the converter to avoid damage caused by deep discharges. Converters offer protected 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, +/-12V and +/-15V output voltages. Modules with regulated output drive high capacitance loads over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +75°C without derating. An On/Off control pin is standard to reduce the supply current to less than 0.7mA in off mode.

     REC8E has very low EMI and requires only simple and low-cost external components to meet EN 55032 class A or class B emission requirements. The isolation voltage is 1.6kV/1 min. The converter is UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 certified.
