RECOM introduces the latest ultra-compact RPZ and RPL series DC/DC converters in SMT QFN packaging

     The RPZ series includes products with current ratings of 0.5 A, 1 A, 2 A, 3 A and 6 A, with input voltages down to 2.3 V and up to 7 V, depending on the model. The output voltage is programmable, ranging from as low as 0.6V to as high as a value close to the input voltage. The new RPL-5.0 series provides 5 A output current over a wide input voltage range of 2.75V to 17 V, with programmable output voltages ranging from 0.6 V to 12 V. The new RPZ series of non-isolated buck converters and the new RPL series version are new industry benchmarks for their size, cost performance and efficiency.

     All products feature thermal enhanced package flip chip technology and range in size from 2 x 2 x 2mm for RZ-0.5 to 4 x 6 x 1.6 mm for RZ-6.0 and RPL-5.0. Derated, ambient operating temperatures up to 125°C and efficiency up to 92%, depending on the model.

     The product meets the demanding application requirements, can be used safely after installation, and provides comprehensive protection against short circuit, over current, over mild input under voltage failures. The high power model also offers a good power signal and enable pins.
