RECOM introduces the versatile 40W RACM40-K series of AC/DC power supplies

     RECOM announced the launch of the versatile 40W RACM40-K series of AC/DC power supplies. The power supply is rated at 40W and has an open frame design size of only 1.6 "x 3" and a closed version of 1.8 "x 3.2". Despite its ultra-compact size, the RACM40-K series still achieves 90% efficiency over a wide input range and the entire load range, with operating temperatures up to 60°C at full load and up to 85°C in the case of natural convection or derating. Full load operation is also possible in the input voltage range of 90-264VAC.

     RECOM has further expanded its industrial and medical grade AC/DC power supply with a power rating of 40W and an open frame design size of only 1.6 "x 3" and a closed version of 1.8 "x 3.2". Despite its ultra-compact size, the RACM40-K series still achieves 90% efficiency over a wide input range and the entire load range, with operating temperatures up to 60°C at full load and up to 85°C in the case of natural convection or derating. Full load operation is also possible in the input voltage range of 90-264VAC.

     Converters offer 5V, 12V, 15V, 18V, 24V, 36V and 48V single output voltages with full protection against short circuits, overload and overvoltage. Standby power consumption of 240VAC is less than 0.1W.

     The RACM40-K series is 2MOPP certified and operates at altitudes up to 4000 m, suitable for Type B and BF applications. Other certifications include the audiovisual /IT standard IEC/EN 62368-1, the industrial standard IEC 61558-1, the test and measurement standard IEC/EN 61010, and the smart home standard IEC/EN 60335. The built-in EMC filter complies with EMC Class B standards and the requirements of the medical EMC standard IEC/EN 60601-1-2 Edition 4.

     The converter is available in a variety of mounting options: the open-frame model can be mounted on the stand using Molex connectors for input and output, and the /PCB version includes pins so it can be mounted directly on the PCB. For compatibility with traditional designs, a 2 "x 3" package version is also available on request. Compared to the /OF/PCB version, the closed version has additional mechanical fixing parts to ensure stability as well as reverse pins.
